Centrifugal pump classification
First, classification according to the number of working impeller 1, single-stage pump : that is, only one impeller in the pump spindle.
2, multi-stage pump : that is to say, these has two or more of the impeller in the pump spindle, the total head of the pump is the head of N impellers produce.
Second, Magnetic pumpsclassification according to the working pressure, 1, low pressure valve : pressure is less than 100 m water column; 2, middle pressure pump: pressure between 100 and 650 m water column; 3, high-pressure pump : pressure is higher than 650 m water column.
Third, classification according to the approach of impeller inlet 1, unilateral water pump: also known as single-suction pump , which only has onewater inlet in the impeller; 2, bilateral water pump: also known as double-suction pump , that means every side of the impeller has a water inlet. The rate of flow of it is doubled than single-suction pumps, it can be regard approximated as two single-suction pump impeller put together back to back.
Fourth, classification according to the joint form of the pump housing.1, the level of open pump: that is,Magnetic pumps there is a combination of open seam in the horizontal of axis. 2, Vertical combination face pump: that is,the combination surface with Axis line vertically.
Fifth, classification according to the position of pump spindle, horizontal pump : pump spindle located in the horizontal position. 2, vertical pump : pump spindle located in the vertical position.
Sixth, classification according to the way of the impeller out of the water pressure lead out of room. 1, volute pump : water come out from the impeller, they flow into the spiral shape casing directly. 2, guide vane pump : the water came out from the impeller into the diffuser which set outside of it, then the water enter into the next level or into the outlet pipe.
